1. Open Question: What would Ms.Martha and Donald Trump say the quickiest and easiest home based business are to start? ?
and how would they go about starting a top ten home based business in ones home in todays world with not much captital to start one? in these rough times.and what tips and information could they say to all that would be quite useful so no one goes belly up?? what business would they start in today tough world? all advice would be greatly helpful Ms.Martha Stewart and Mr.Donald Trumps..all advice would be greatly apprecated.thank you so kindly.

2. Resolved Question: Whose fault is the economic crisis anyway?
So let’s look at how we got here: ILLUSIONS Big part of what makes the American Dream is hope. However unrealistic, uneducated, and misinformed choices replace hope with illusions. Buyers had the illusion that homes would always keep increasing rapidly in value. However, they failed to understand that the real estate market has cycles. Some of the factors that create a change in the market are increased amounts of supply or demand, deregulation of the financial industry, easy and available credit, low interest rates and much more. People who bought homes they could not afford did it because they saw an opportunity to “invest” their life savings and achieve the American dream. They viewed this opportunity as attainable because banks made it possible, unscrupulous agents/brokers made them believe it was possible, and because they lacked the knowledge necessary to understand the responsibilities, risks and benefits of owning a home. Other illusions buyers had was their wages. The had the illusion that their wages would go up enough year after year to cover their ever increasing debt due to a lavish life style. This illusion, the lack of financial education and self-control allowed for people to live well beyond their means. Today people, banks, and our government are drowning in debt. CREDIT Competition in the market forces business to improve on their products and allows the consumer to purchase those products at affordable prices. However, competition between banks in a booming economy and low interest rates created a credit bonanza. Instead of banks improving on their products and services, they began utilizing creative financial tools to attract more borrowers. They also lend money to risky borrowers with little regard of their qualifications. Anybody that had a pulse could literally get a loan. Banks can’t accommodate the demand for credit only with their money reserves. So if they want to lend more money, they sell these mortgages to commercial banks and Wall Street lenders. Financial Crisis: Who's Fault Is It, Anyway? Doesn't matter. Because just about everyone is to blame. Republicans opened the door through debt-based credit derivatives and deregulation. Democrats further contributed by turning a blind eye to Fannie and Freddie and insisting that even those who couldn't really afford mortgages be allowed to get them. The Bush Administration touted consumer spending as a means to boost the economy, and encouraged reckless consumer behaviors with billions in "stimulus"money, all while fueling the national debt through a disastrous war and tax cuts for people who don't really need them. And, of course, greedy banks and mortgage lenders went along, doing their best to bilk whoever came through door for whatever they could get -- before passing the risk on to equally greedy investment banks and hedge fund managers. Consumers came along for the ride, abandoning reasonable financial practices and using credit to fuel materialism -- as well as making poor decisions by buying homes they couldn't afford with "creative" mortgage financing. Nearly everyone shares some of the blame. This is not the time to bicker over who is most at fault. It doesn't matter. The past is past. It's time to move forward and fix the problem. REALLY fix the problem. With practical solutions (that's right, follow the link for just one alternative -- and better IMO -- solution) that don't involve throwing a large, arbitrary amount of money at the problem. This is something that requires measured thought. And a change in how our society now views debt, money and the economy. There's no reason to rush into a bailout plan right now. Instead, a little more analysis is needed.

6. Open Question: Who should I conduct business with?
I do 3D models of homes and interiors, I got a website set up, which is down at this time, but should be up sometime later. I also have some business cards printed which look very neat. I' am not starting a full blown business yet, just starting off small as a free lance. Tommarow I' am going to be looking for clients, here in my city after looking into a yellow book I dont see one company who does 3D modelings. Now bassicly what I do is take blue prints eather final or scetch, but with all the dimensions on them, then based on those dimensions I make a 3D model or that house, then take a picture of the existing house and using photoshop bassicly replace the 3D model with the existing one, do some touch up and youve got some real looking image. My problem is, who should I go to an architect, or a general contractor, since those pictures that I will print for them are going to be for customers to give them a better view of their new hose and how it will look like when its done.

Is there a way we can buy medical insurance through our small company and gain tax relief for the cost? Any other options because $700 is so much money when we are still paying $20- 30 co pays, $200 ER and have a 3000 year ded. Thanks for any help you can give

9. Open Question: How many people didn't know that security officers can carry guns?
... and I mean guns with real bullets meant to kill. After looking at some questions on here to see which gun would be best for security, I saw several responders who thought security officers couldn't or shouldn't carry guns. Armed or commissioned officers are required to take 30 hours of training in order to become licensed to carry a gun in Texas. Also; there are certification courses for security officers to carry batons, pepper spray, and handcuffs. Some companies require their armed guards to pass a psychological test first. Almost every security company requires an officer to have a GED or high school diploma before they are hired and they cannot have any felonies or certain misdemeanors on their record. Many security officers are former military or law enforcement and some are currently peace officers, but they are supplementing their income by working security. Many U.S. military bases started contracting out their security needs to private security companies so they can deploy more of their MPs. The military bases pay their guards $18-20 an hour which is more than what most entry level police officers make. Airport security officers aren't much different from mall security officers. Armed security officers protect federal government buildings and local government buildings. Bodyguards or personal protection officers are nothing but level IV security officers. The federal government had a huge need for private security officers after Hurricane Ike in Texas and Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana because they wanted people's homes and businesses to be protected from looting. I know of one security officer who was killed recently, one who had to kill someone to protect himself, and one who was assaulted. Security officers are very much underpaid. I do admit that there are many dumb security officers; but I have also met many dumb police officers. You don't need much brains to become a police officer in my area. Security guards are not rent-a-cops, they are a form of crime deterrence. Police officers cannot be everywhere at once and they cannot respond as fast an armed officer who is already there ready to shoot any violent offender. So if you don't appreciate the use of "rent-a-cops", call your congressman or congresswoman and tell him or her that you don't want anymore of your tax dollars wasted on security officers at courts, social security buildings, other government buildings, the airport, or in your area after a natural disaster. Tell the owners of the stores you shop at that you don't mind if prices go up due to shoplifting and your bank that they don't need security either.

10. Open Question: Melaluca company is it for real>>!?
At home business Melaluca anyone out there know if it is a legit work at home based business?>

11. Open Question: What's the best way to deal with a possessive irrational ex?
Here's a letter he wrote me, Tell me what you think I should de, I totally feel THREATENED. "I first want to say that I miss you and I love you and Lisa (btw: he's referring to our daughter). I know that I made some wrong choices when I was home but at some point we have to get past that and move on with life. I know you may feel otherwise but I do love and accept Lisa as my daughter (btw he went back and forth claiming and denying her for years, she's now 9, and has never supported her or been apart of her life). I made wrong choices based on what people told me and on things you did in the past but not based on my heart. Even though I never got the results of the DNA test I still use to go up to Lisa's school to see her if I could because you wouldn't open your door (btw I got ride of him along time ago once I realized that he had no interest in being a father or supporting my child). I'm coming home (btw he's in jail) in January and I want us to be a family and I'm not trying to hear nothing else yall belong to me and that's just the way it is. I do understand that we have alot to talk about but you have to understand that I'm sorry for the wrong choices I made. I have a better life now I own a business and I have a nice place, half of that belongs to yall. I had my time to play when I came home, I'm done, I want my family and I will die trying to rebuild what I ****** up. Give me my chance, you owe me that and I'm not trying to hear nothing else. I want yall to see who I have become on the streets while we were going through our differences and over this past year I been in here. You'll really be proud. I swear I will never walk away from you again. I want to always walk with you no matter if were together or not. You will be my wife."

12. Open Question: Child support Ex-wife is there anything we can file or do about our situation?
We live in Kentucky. Here is our story: My husband was divorced from his ex wife in Sept. 02. The divorce decree stated that they have joint custody of their two minor children. It also stated that his ex wife was to carry insurance on the children cause she had a job that provided insurance and my husband was self employed, having no insurance. Its stated he was to pay off their mini van and once it was paid off he would pay 50% off the insurance on the children. He was ordered to pay 300.00 in child support. And pay off all THEIR credit cards. About 7 months later, his ex wife dropped her insurance through her employer, went and applied for a medical card without notifying my husband. She did not ask the court or anything. Then, the medical card office contacted my husband telling him he had to pay for the charges she had already made with the medical card. This was a shock because he had no idea she had done this. She then, took him to court to up her child support. The courts (one judge inparticular who has ruled everything you read, and unjusticely we believe) forced my husband to put insurance on the children AND pay 100% of the costs. AND still pay for her mini van. She got away scott-free. My husband did not have insurance on himself, infact we had already gotten married and we had a daughter. We only made around 100 dollars more than his ex in a month and WE had a medical card for our daughter cause we qualified for it having low income. My husband had to get a second job just to put insurance on the children. He did not know what to do and we had no money for an attorney. He also loved his kids and wanted them to have proper medical care. About 6 months after that his ex wife contacted the court and wanted to move 5 hours away to her home town in West Virginia. She claimed that SHE had no family here, and had alot of support in WV and she wanted the court to allow her to move there and take the two minor children. She told the judge that she had a job lined up and a house to live in. The judge believed this and did not even have her prove it, (turns out she did not have a job lined up or a home) The judge ALLOWED her to take these children from the only life they have ever known, including their schools, church, friends, father, and brother and sister. How is this is in the best interest of the children? It was inthe best interest of the ex wife! His ex wife only has a sister where she moved to and doesnt even hardly speak to her. So, my husband lost his children and it has been impossible for us to hardly see them. The court said thathe and his ex wife had to meet halfway every other weekend to let him have the children. Which did not happen. My husband and I then lost our skating rink business, the owner of the building we rented sold the building. We had NO MONEY and had two children of our own. This was in December of 03. My husband went down to the child support office in our town and they told him there was nothing he could do about child support being lowered. My husband believed this and we fell behind on child support. They took what we were behind on out of our taxes. We moved to IL cause it was the only place we could find a skating rink to run. We paid 371.00 in child support. We NEVER saw the children hardly at all because his ex wife NEVER in two years met him 'halfway' to see his kids. He had to drive all the way down there and back to get them and bring them home. From IL to Wv was a 8 hour trip one way. My husband and I did not know if there was anything we could do, we were clueless. We lived in IL for 2 years, barely making it and still struggling to pay the 371.00 in chilld support. My husband them got a wonderful job offer from my father and we moved back to KY. This also put us closer the his children. We had just got some debts paid off and we were still struggling cause we had another baby, so we had 3 at home now. We faught with his Ex to see his other two kids and she always has excuses as to why we cant. My husband has done everything he know s to do to be with his kids. There are all these account of dead beat dads, and people are always complaining, but here is a man who WANTS his kids, and the court allows his ex wife to move and take them 5 hours away! SO, just this year in May his ex wife goes behind our back and files for a child support evaluation. My husband has to work out of town alot, he makes salary but gets extra pay when he goes out of town. The judge modified his child support based on his total income including his extra pay and we now have to pay 951.00 a month. His ex claims she only makes 2,200. a month and my husband with extra pay makes 4,000.00 (only 3,100. or so salary without extra pay) but we cant keep going and having it modified everytime his extra pay is gone and then goes back on. So, they just set it with what it is now. They do not care at all that we have 3 other children at home to support. This 951.00 a month is maki

Can I deduct sewage, trash pickup, and water bills for my business?(not a home based business).

19. Open Question: I know this isn't that good, but I was just wondering if the outline is good?
I have to write a short story for my English class and it has to be based on a fear. I was wondering if it was kind of too gory or too cliche, but here's the idea. Sarah (the main character) lives on a street full of small family shops. Each family on that street hate each other. Her family owns a pastry shop, same with her next door neighbors. Well, one day she just came home from buying flour and sugar and when she's about to walk into her house, she hears yelling. The yelling comes from next door. The owner is shouting at his daughter (Hellen) and blaming her for loosing their business. When actually, it was Sarah's family who made Hellen and her family out of business. Hellen has been missing from school for a couple of days and Sarah suspects that she is staying home, trying to help out. Hellen has been beaten by both her parents. They have no more food and no money to survive. So Hellen wants to get revenge from Sarah and her family. One night, Sarah's parents are going to a dinner party because it is her aunts birthday. Sarah has to babysit her two younger brothers. While Sarah is watching tv downstairs, she hears a crashing sound from upstairs. Sarah quickly goes upstairs and finds the bathroom window broken to pieces. She quickly go checks on her younger brothers. They are still sleeping, unhurt. Sarah runs downstairs to call the police. As she's talking to them, she grabs a big knife and holds it to her side. Her back is to the whole kitchen and when she's done talking to the police, she hangs up and turns around. She screams as she see's a girl with black hair standing a few feet away from Sarah. On each side, she's carrying two heads. The heads of Sarah's younger brothers. The girl drops the heads and runs after Sarah with an ax. Sarah manages to run out the front door and run over to the park. note: Sarah loves to run and she's pretty tall. Sarah looses the girl and hides in the bushes of a nearby park. She sits there moaning and crying for about an hour, until she's convinced that she lost the girl. Sarah leaves the park and instead of going to her house, she speed walks over to the main street where the police station is. She takes the back roads and tries to find someone that could help her. Sarah finds a girl with blond hair walking on the other side of the street. She runs over the blond girl and talks to her for help. The blond girl is carrying a black a wig and her head is down. She talks nonsense to Sarah and looks up at Sarah. Sarah recognizes the face of the girl and when she remembers, Hellen kills her. Now it goes to the parents point of view. They walk in the front door and turn on the lights. They look around to what happened in the living room. Blood stained the floors and walls and they go into the kitchen. A blond girl (Hellen) is standing there with her head bowed and three heads in front of her on the ground. and it ends!! so what do you think of the outline? just wondering if there should be some small things changed like how Hellen kills Sarah and the two younger brothers. thanks if you read that really long outline! huh? what's P.A.SS. Obviously I'm not, because I have no idea what you're talking about Swann~ I'm not going to explain all of the gore since it's on Sarah's point of view, she's going to glance at the heads for a half a second. Yea, that's a pretty good idea. I think cutting heads would be over board. Maybe Hellen just stabs them and drags them downstairs. no i'm not going to do pranks. this is a girl who wants REVENGE. there are true stories where spouses kill their spouses because they are jealous and want revenge off of them

31. Voting Question: home-based businesses?

32. Open Question: How can I generate traffic to my website without paying a lot of money?
Ok, so I'm working on my home based business, and I'm trying to figure out how to get people to check it out. I have my websites, my automated Online Marketing Tool and the Leadership! 33. Resolved Question: home-based business by ameriplan.com?
has anybody tried this? is it a scam?

34. Voting Question: What's your plan to save the US economy right now?
Here's my plan: 1. No more free bailout money for anyone. Instead, US government gives banks vouchers to loan money to private businesses. The banks must loan the taxpayers' money within 120 days to a credit worthy (independent rating) business or they lose the voucher. The bank must have a stake in the creditworthiness and debt repayment of the commercial borrower (perhaps by withholding percentage of earned commission over time). Essentially, the banks become accountable, commission-based middlemen for government loans. 2. Government demolishes vacant homes in 'designated' housing crisis cities such as Stockton, Tampa, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. The HUD secretary should convene a meeting of city mayors to come up with a plan to condemn vacant homes and blighted properties, and to ratchet up building code enforcement to remove questionable vacant homes from the market. 3. Cut capital gains tax to zero until December 31, 2010. That's right. No one pays one cent of capital gains tax on any capital gains earned from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2010. However, short swing transactions still pay ordinary income tax rate to discourage short selling and speculation. Thereafter, phase back tax increases until they return to current capital gains tax rate of fifteen percent. In addition, after 2010, no capital gains tax break for foreign companies and foreign entities. If you want to gamble in the U.S stock market, you have to pay the vig to Uncle Sam starting in 2011. 4. Extend unemployment insurance benefits for six months. 5. Methodical and rational troop draw down in Iraq to save US taxpayers up to $10 billion dollars per month. Apply some of the saved money towards giant infrastructure and public works programs here in U.S. 6. Repeal the Bankruptcy Reform Act's means test provisions. Allow Chapter 7 petitioners to discharge all debts owed to creditors, and not be forced into Chapter 13 reorganization plans. 7. Prohibit all foreign companies from bidding on government contracts until 2012.

35. Voting Question: Question concerning sales tax permit...?
I am starting a small home based business soon, with me as the sole proprietor. Anyway, I know I have to fill out a sales tax permit. Does this mean I need to charge tax on the items I will be making/selling? Do I just add that charge to the total amount, or is it a separate charge, and how do I know how much to charge for tax? I am in Oklahoma. How do I go out about reporting sales tax income to the tax commission in my state? Is this reflected when I fill out my taxes every year? Thank you for any help. Sorry I have a lot of questions, I am a little confused, this is new to me.

39. Voting Question: What should i do??????
I'm getting tired of my sister's bitching and moaning about bills when she does nothing but sit on her lazy *** all day and receive her unemployment checks every two weeks... She thinks she is all high and mighty because of it and keeps talking to me as if im nothing. I go to school in the day and try to work overnight but its hard. I barely made enough money last paycheck to pay my half of the rent... luckily for me I have an understanding landlord... My sister didn't even attempt to help me out... She was more concerned in other things... I do feel bad though... I don't expect anyone to pick up for my slack but its so hard... I sleep on a floor because I every time I get paid my money either goes to rent or something for school... My mother told me I could move back in with her, but if i do that mean I will leave all the bills to my sister... which is wrong.... and plus next month is the end of her unemployment and she isn't looking for a job... she just sits on the computer and looks for home base businesses all day... and do stupid surveys trying to make a quick buck... Im kinda fed up with life... it's like no matter how much good I try to do it never turns out right in my favor... What should i do...? 6 minutes ago - 3 days it's not eve nthat she has her money to pay the bill because of unemployment... i dont... eventhough I work... im not trying to dog her out.. im just saying its unfair how hard i work to no avail... while she sits at home and does nothing

41. Resolved Question: Who can I talk to about my problems?
My HMO's mental health department has an 8-week waiting list. Meanwhile, I can never seem to focus on things I need to do -- looking for a job, running my home-based business, doing my freelance writing. I always fail at meeting self-imposed schedules. I really need to talk to someone professional about this, but I sure can't wait 8 weeks.

42. Resolved Question: Can I sue? Internet forum slander & defamation of my business.?
Hello everyone & thanks in advance. I own/run a small internet based company. I am a work at home mom and as of right now, this company is my only source of income. I have had several reports from "potential" customers that "members" of a very popular internet forum have provided negative comments about our company and products. This forum again is very popular and shows up on the first page of google when searching keywords related to the products I sell. I went to this forum and in deed, there are topics started where a potential customer asks for reviews about our company and almost all of the posts (responses) are negative. Some responders stated that my company would steal from them, others insinuated that the products we carry are too good to be true, ect. Then in that same thread, potential customers would make statements like " I was going to order from this company but I'm not now," ect. I'm having a hard time understanding what rights I have in this matter. Because not one of the members that posted negative/defamatory comments are actually customers of mine, nor have they ever been. And let me just say this. This is really hurting my business or else I wouldn't even be bothered. I can even link to the pages of said topics if needed. I was thinking of taking my case to a televised forum such as Judge Judy, Peoples court, ect.... My question is: Can I sue? Who do I sue? ( I don't know the legal names of said members and the forum has a disclaimer about holding them responsible I'm sure) What is the best forum to sue? (small claims locally, televised, ect. I cannot afford an attorney) How do I go about it? I appreciate all of your information and support! - small business owner Added to say: Hello, I know they are not my customers because none of the posters have stated such and I have never received a negative complaint personally from any of my customers. Since I am a small biz, I am able to follow up with each one and they all gave me good reviews about my products. I posted in this forum and asked for any poster to come forward to give true testimony of their experience with me as a vendor and no one did.

43. Voting Question: Where can I find a place to receive 40 cases of goods?
I'm going to order 40 cases of shopping bag from CA to NY. My business is home based ( I rent a room in private house ). I can see a problem if I have that 40 cases delivered here. So I'm looking for a place to receive my packages. I know there are mailbox rental services, but they require 6 months minimum. Is there any place in NYC that offers a one time service? Just to have that cases loaded there and I go pick them up. I don't know much about public warehouse or self storage. Will those help? Thanks

45. Voting Question: WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE HARDENER USED FOR ITALIAN CHARMS?
I am currently trying to run a home based business of making custom italian charms that I sell on eBay and myspace also! Everything is going great except buying the hardener/coating for these charms is robbing me blind since all I can find on ebay or other charm sites is refilled bottles for 20+ dollars. What I am trying to find out is the actual name for this hardener used to coat the charms over the picture? I have asked numerous people on ebay and other sites BUT they act like this is a government secret and I only get " its a coating specially formulated for photo jewelry" or "try looking in your arts and crafts stores for enamel/resin hardener", well I have searched Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and AC Moore for this and no one knows what it is. I know this has an actual name and its not just activator and hardener as printed on the bottles so if anyone could help me answer this question it would be greatly appreciated! I cannot put images of the charms on here, but you can see the charms that I am referring to on my eBay page, it is myworld.ebay.com/mrcharmer864/ or you can also see them at www.myspace.com/mrcharmer864. The only thing that I know for sure about the coating is it is in 2 parts that you mix together in equal amounts and you have about 20 minutes to apply to the charms before it starts to set up, and that it also dries to a hard, clear, glass like finish!

46. Resolved Question: Is it legal to spy on your neighbor without any probable cause?
There's a guy in my neighborhood we'll call Jack. My family and Jack's family have lived on this street in one form or another for over 50 years. Jack and I both wound up with our parents' homes and we've known each other since childhood. Jack is known to the police but mostly as an annoyance; when he was younger he got into a lot of fights in bars and he makes no secret of his distrust of the law. The guy is no angel by any means. He's big and tough with gangster like mannerisms and just one of those guys that if you aren't his friend, you shouldn't mess with him. Recently, a volunteer fireman and his wife moved onto the street. This guy - call him Matt - is one of those wannabe cops that was too fat and dumb to make it as one but since he has a red light on his truck, thinks that he gets to act like and be feared as a real cop. Matt and his wife apparently don't feel comfortable living a few doors away from Jack and they have been going to extremes to try and force this man out. They tell the other neighbors ( and the cops ) that Jack is a drug dealer, and that he's a threat to everyone's kids. They inform the cops every time he leaves his home and the wife tried to get all the neighbors to turn against him by getting us to sign a petition. ( Not one person did, not even the retired cop who lives up the street.) She claims her children live in fear with Jack on the street and that everyone needs to spy on him as much as possible. Well, as far as anyone can see, Jack is doing nothing to threaten anyone. In fact, the people on the street who know Jack feel safer that he's here. He has a full time job - I know because I've done business with him at his store. There are never any break-ins or anything on this street and I suspect it has much to do with Jack being here.I told Matt's wife that although Jack poses no threat to anyone, it's probably not a good idea to make enemies with him either. She says it's ok because her husband is a fireman and they have the cops' permission to spy on Jack. My husband told Jack about all this and Jack laughed and said he was aware of it from day 1 and he's fully prepared to deal with it when the time comes.Well, this has been going on for about 6 years now. I would think that if the police had any reason to suspect this man of anything that they would have put him away a long time ago. But all anyone sees is Jack going to work every day, keeping his yard clean, cooking out in his backyard and not bothering a soul. If I were the fireman, I would be concerned about getting sued and losing my home or, worse, angering Jack. Is this what America has come to in the Bush era? That you can persecute someone with extreme prejudice simply based on what you THINK of them or what you may have heard? Whatever happened to being guilty beyond a reasonable doubt before being sentenced? And since when does a volunteer fireman have the right to conduct surveillance on ANYONE??? Personally, myself, my husband and my children ( who simply love Jack - he never forgets their b'days or at Christmas) would much rather have Jack here than some pain -in-the a** do gooders whose lives are so boring they have to condemn those around them ( like Jack ) who appear to be enjoying life too much. Jack's a single guy and different women have been seen leaving his house in the morning. Maybe the fireman is jealous. Or.. maybe his wife is.

47. Resolved Question: Obama... am I a democrat or a republican?
I own a business that helps people (what business doesn't?) My business is building, developing and renovating properties. Of course I own many of my projects and rent them to people who can't afford to buy or choose not to by a home. I own about 40 properties and over 300 acres of land. I don't go to church but I like to say Merry Christmas and have a tree (a real christmas tree). I wouldn't abort a baby of my own because I have good genes (blue eyes, blond hair and athletic build) but if others choose to I wouldn't hate them. I know that it is us that creates wealth and the government should get a share for building the roads and providing a safe place to do business. I really don't like government waste and think that if we don't keep an eye out for where our money goes the government can/has/will waste our money. I don't mind war, infact if I could do it all over I would have been a soldier and proudly supported getting rid of Saddam in Iraq for killing his own people over religion and putting them into mass graves. I really don't care what other countries think of us as long as I feel we are doing the right thing. I don't want my people in my country to think the government will take care of them ( because they won't). I support hard, smart working people and don't have time for lazy, blame the government for their problems type people. It's funny, I travel all the time and I love when I see people protesting in the streets. I was in Colombia a few weeks ago and people were protesting the minimum wage! Like the government can control that, where in the hell is colombia going to get more money? If they raise minimum wages jobs would be cut. Clearly the markets need to be real and wages are set based on demand. So what am I? I think I'm just a smart, rich, hard working, young man. I think Obama would agree and McCain.

I have a home based tutoring business (tutors go to student's home--the business part is done from my home office) and want to know how to market the business affordably to get more clients.

49. Resolved Question: Please read my story/comment?
My assignment is to make up a story about a families life during the Great Depression so I wrote this. It's kinda long and I doubt anybody would actually read through the whole thing but oh well. The Great Depression By: Viktor Djokovic The Depression Begins Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding. The sound of the bell in the New York Stock Exchange located in New York City, New York woke me up from my slight snooze. My father, waiting patiently at the right of me, elbowed my chest. I quickly shot up and was ready to start another day as a stock broker/computer technician. The giant room filled with many lights, numbers, and old men with blue suits filled the area. My father and I went our separate ways to where we were needed. He was a stockbroker who occasionally played the stock market and was quite good at it. I am currently following in his footsteps. On my way to my small desk with a bunch of papers spread on my beige colored desk. A small calculation machine that was slowly rusting but still shiny sat across from my comfortable chair to my right. I slowly sat down and exhaled. My work was about to begin. I do what any other good stockbroker does: give advice and sell. It was a good job, paid high and had great benefits. Today was no different. Since the “Roaring 20’s,” the stock market became what was known as a bull type of market (1). Almost everybody was making quick money with little effort. Those who know what they were doing made even more, like my dad. Anyways, after the usual day was over, filled with prosperity, I walked home. We, along with my mom and two brothers, lived only a block away in a fancy apartment complex. On my way there, I noticed peoples pockets full of money with big gleaming smiles plastered on their faces. Automobiles (2) filled the streets. Since Henry Ford created the assembly line, the automotive business exponentially grew. It was only available in black, but no one cared. It was the first car that almost everybody could afford. These were affluent times indeed. There was this flat tire of a woman on a dull rocking chair who had this terrible Brooklyn accent. Whenever I approach the main doors, she kept on repeating the stock market was going to crash over and over again. I just wanted to reach down her throat and correct her larynx so she talked normally. No matter, I happily whistled through the well-cleaned corridors that were filled with shiny doorknobs, clean doormats, and people with lovely suits on. I strode over to my apartment number, A5, and got out the key. When I entered, the fresh smell of Pljeskavica, a type of Serbian hamburger made with rich meat filled the room and made its way to my taste buds. Its aroma was overpowering and I could not help but drool a bit. My mom, an affable woman, was baking in the granite kitchen. Expensive spices were on her left while stainless steel knives and other various equipment to her right. She was hacking away at another cuisine. “Mother, hello.” I greeted her. “Hello, Viktor. How are you doing? How was work?” “Work was nice. The stock market is continuing to rise so that means more money for us. Dad will probably work late again to squeeze out as much money as he can out of other people.” “I see…that is what he is good at so more money for us!” “Yeah, I guess.” My father was an extreme conservative (3) so he enjoyed money so much that he became a workaholic in the past month. With the stock market being as it is, he made even more money. “The wonderful green stuff” as he would like to call it.
